Introduction

The 1^st International Symposium on Advanced Materials in Asia-Pacific Rim (ISAMAP) was held in 2004 at JAIST, Ishikawa, JAPAN. Since then, ISAMAP has been held every year successively in Vietnam and Korea.

ISAMAP 2007 is going to be held in July 13^th-15^th, 2007 at Niigata Convention Center (TOKI MESSE), Japan. This interdisciplinary Conference will be co-organized by Center for Transdisciplinary Research, Niigata University, The Advanced Nano Membrane of Niigata (ANMN), and Hokuriku Branch of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan, also supported by JAIST, and The Society of Polymer Science, Japan.

The following subjects are going to be the main topics in ISAMAP 2007.

We would also invite several prominent guest speakers of the relevant fields as plenary lectures. The symposium consists of plenary lectures, invited lectures, contributed lectures, poster presentations, and hot interactive discussion between young and leading scientists and researchers in Asia-Pacific region is highly appreciated.
